ARTISTS INFORMATION:
Leo Di Cocco and Ornella Simonetto, renowned for their unique style, captivate audiences worldwide with their emotive and intricate performances. Their style, a fusion of precise technique and expressive storytelling, has earned them a special place in the tango community. In 2025, they will share their expertise at the Berlin Embrace Festival, offering workshops at La Catedral. This presents a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to delve into the duo’s innovative approach to tango, exploring its emotional depth and technical nuances in an intimate setting.

SACADAS MASTERCLASS
This seminar is the perfect opportunity for you to learn and practice all the possibilities of sacadas in tango, from the most traditional to the most contemporary. We will explore each technique in depth, with the aim of improving your ability to perform sacadas smoothly and accurately.
WS2: 14:30-16:00
BOLEOS TECHNIQUE
Did you know that there are multiple types of boleos in tango? From linear to circular,
including boleos against and in favor, low and high boleos. In this class, we will teach you how to differentiate each of them and you will learn the simple techniques necessary to successfully execute them.
Sunday 08. June
WS3: 12:30-1400
FROM SALON TO STAGE
Professional tango stage performance stays true to its roots, making it comfortable to execute and allowing for correct marking with the same technique used in tango de pista. In this class, we will focus on teaching the basics of improvising tango stage elements for those who already have experience in milonguero style and want to take their skills to the next level.
WS4: 14:03-16:00
CHOREOGRAPHIC COMPOSITION
During this class, we will work on a group choreography composed of basic tango stage resources. Although it will be simple, we will focus on refining the details so that each class member can stand out in their execution and understand the elements we use in both group and individual execution. At the end of the class, our goal will be to film a video of the choreography to share among the students.
