Show: Tango, Pasión de Buenos Aires
Show on Sunday, May 24 (6 p.m.) at the Pfefferberg Theater. Tickets are available in advance and at the box office.
Experience a captivating evening of tango with Urquiza Tango Productions. Argentine culture and poetry guide us through the history of tango—from its origins as music, dance, and cultural expression to its modern fusion with jazz and experimental art forms.
Argentine choreographer and dancer Chiche Núñez presents tango as a medium for deep emotions and as a companion to poetic pieces reflecting a past, yet ever-living, Argentina. The words of Storni, Cortázar, and Borges, along with Piazzolla’s music, bring the milonga, the Pampas, and the streets of Buenos Aires back to life under the Berlin night sky. The performance shifts between melancholy and joy in a playful dialogue among all artists: body, voice, and instruments interact to offer a personal interpretation of poetry and music born on the Rio de la Plata, reflecting the universal complexity of human experience.
Special: MILONGA on stage after the show!
An evening to experience Argentine tango and dance yourself! A show full of emotion and poetry, where music meets lyricism and the soul of the Rio de la Plata flows through Berlin. Join us to be amazed—and to become a protagonist yourself on stage, just like in Buenos Aires, right after the performance!
