How It All Began at the Round Tables

EMBRACE started in 2014 as a unique format worldwide. At “Round Tables,” the first “Tango Community Festival” was conceived. Leading the initiative in the first year were the EMBRACE founders, Horst Martin and Sven Elze, together with the organizers of the International Tango Festivals Berlin, Michael Rühl, Judith Preuss, and Thomas Rieser.
Since 2015, all planning has taken place collaboratively through a Facebook group and the ongoing Round Tables.

EMBRACE operates according to simple principles:

  • EMBRACE provides a framework for diversity and creativity.

  • Anyone can participate as an organizer and contribute their own event.

  • Each provider is individually responsible for their own offerings – such as milongas, classes, or other events.

EMBRACE itself is not an organization and has no legal form. All offerings – including events, classes, concerts, exhibitions, and other activities – are organized and carried out by the respective named providers.
There is no mutual or joint liability among the organizers or providers. Any claims must be directed solely to the respective organizer or provider.

The EMBRACE website serves exclusively as a program information platform. The editorial team assumes no liability for the accuracy of information or the execution of any program offerings.
